me too sour....I decided I was going to go 24 hours without a pain pill....I was up all night...:/
Guess in still alive...stay warm everyone....DUCKS made it through the night just fine.....they are tougher than me....eggs were all froze solid this morning though...dogs are happy they got eggs for breakfast.

We will be constructing a new coop and run today, when Jay gets back from work. We have one of those large plastic sheds we removed from a job. I have been using it to store the chipper shredder and wood chips for mulch. I will leave the wood chips in for bedding and find a new home for the machine. This will be a meatie and turkey grow out pen. We will be hopefully getting 30 meaties tomorrow.

Lol, ducks have no couth, provide nesting areas for them and they prefer the pond or frozen solid ground! It's amazing. I wonder if wild ducks are as bad about drowning their eggs?

Awesome! I'm the only one in my house that can stomach butchering, so I don't get meat birds anymore... but I do have one too many drakes...hmm.

Usually I think that's a bunch of crap, but these are good looking chicks. Mostly a product of the splash rooster and black hens. If the second hatch hatches most developed eggs, I will have a few left over after #1 and you get yours. The blues are so dark they look black, but that's impossible in that pen

I know that he is doing this because his ulterior motive he building another automatic rifle that shoots ak47 rounds. He thinks I was born yesterday.
