So much time in the OR is set-up/prep and close/tear down. The operation itself shouldn't take long, but it seems like it takes forever when you are waiting.

Unfortunately, I don't buy cheap sunglasses. Darn things are expensive!

I know...some people have a thing for tennis shoes...I like sunglasses...I'm too poor for my wants though....:/

Its bad. Very large abscess, might have to actually cut instead of laparoscopy. :/

Oldest son had emergency surgery for same thing. Like Friday said, easy peasy procedure. Out pretty quick. Sore about a week.

Me too--went through 3 pairs when I was making the coop (only $5 each, but still) and the $3 pair I got to replace 'em has lasted about 3 years now... Of course, they're all wonky 'cause one of the nose pads has broken off...

Its bad. Very large abscess, might have to actually cut instead of laparoscopy.

Whatever they need to do to get the infection out. There is a chance he'll come out with a drain tube if the abscess is spread out enough. A drain will keep the abscess from re-forming as he heals.

He'll probably need to be on antibiotics for a while.
