Depends. EEs can throw brown egg layers because they are a mix, but AMs should throw blue. I have one AM laying white, though, because she got a double dose of the white gene

I'm no expert, but I'll take a swing. The short answer is no.

From what I understand, there are two base egg shell colors, white and blue. All brown coloring is a coating on the shell, kind of like a paint. I believe blue shell color is dominant to white, but if you cross a brown egg layer with a blue egg laying breed, you'll get the blue base shell, but a coat of brown will be applied over that shell color, making varying colors of eggs. This makes an easter egger. I know others can give you a much more scientific answer than that.

Hey, Rav, where do you get that acidified copper sulfate? Is it just the blue crystals? Amazon results come up with just copper sulfate.

See I crossed a EE hen that laid green eggs with my SLP rooster and their little pullet lays a light pink egg almost white.
