Hope somebody is still around to tell me what to do.

My carbon monoxide detector was beeping when I left home this evening. I assumed batteries low. I've just changed the them twice and hit the reset and its still beeping. I've never had this happen! What to do???

#1) make sure you have fresh air, just in case.

If it' a couple beeps every 30 seconds, it may be near the end of it's 10 year lifespan. Like Ravyn said, chuck it and get a new one.

(But make sure your air is fresh anyways!)

I opened the window next to where I'm sitting. Its friggin cold outside lol

I think hubby put it in new when we moved in 3 years ago.

Look for a brand on it as well, then google it. Different alarms mean different things on different models.

Well, learn something new every day.

It says 7 years from power up, and the mfg date is Oct, 2008, so I guess its done.

I'll bet there's a new one here somewhere. If not, I'll get one tomorrow.
