Ravyn my babies are great! Remember the pic I sent you of the "odd" chick? Turns out it was a splash chick. There were 2 splashes, 1 died. The survivor was the chick I sent u the pic of....so maybe all was well!?!
Gotta go outside and cheer the DH on! After all he's working on that pen for me! I've been helping too. And then get supper started. I'll talk to you all later on

Glad they're doing well... shipping is rough on those little chicks... would still like to see that chick when it feathers...

I totally agree with you, and don't like the way she pushes her sponsor's products. But there are good articles on her site that can be useful, like When you are trying to convince SC there is such a thing as a blastodisc on infertile eggs. LOL

Right now we only have a travel trailer up there.  I keep a few batteries in (all the pulls from the cars, until they are stone dead) and charge from the generator with a small solar trickle charger to keep them topped up.  They run the lights (converted to LED), the water pump, the radio, the gas fridge controller, and the gas furnace controls and fan.

We really want to build a getaway cabin, but the very real prospect of finding a new farm has set that aside.  I'd love to do solar and geothermal, or wind and geothermal, wherever we move to as we are both telecommuters and need a reliable electrical source for our work.

I'd love to try geothermal....

My FIL does geothermal, he loves it. He also built an underground house, it is surprisingly airy. I don't like the design he went with, I would have made mine look more like a hobbit hole

We spent the weekends with hockey friends who just moved from suburbia to rural acreage with woods and a pond...they don't farm but want some ducks.  DH now has the bug to move.  We need to find someone who can love our home for what it is...almost 200 years old.

Friday i LOVE your coloring! When i was Really far gone a yr ago i covered one of my bedroom walls in velvet designs, got to the point i didnt care what the picture was and theres alot of em im not real fond of but heres about 1/4 of it

Becuz of that, my friend in this pic w me(i am in the white top) bought me a huge coloring book from hobby lobby and i have to agree that coloring Really Helps me relax. Something about putting everything(color) in its place and compleating the project however I want...

Please ignore my winter weight. In general, my weight fluctuates alot with my medical condtion, i generally spend a few months fat, a few months thin and im fighting for the moderate the whole while.

Also, brought the drop-off puppy to the car show? Found her The Perfect home! The lil girl n the blu shirt came and told me "God bless you," for giving her family the puppy! Im not super relegious but i feel like its a sign of good things to come

Phil; i missed the race yest, tv wouldnt pick up the station! And then i tried the radio even but couldnt find it there either do u c y i dont claim to b a super fan? I love the races but...

SC; could it have been possible you missed the dot/bullseye when u checkd the eggs? Sometimes u gotta flip the yolk cuz its not on the top 50:50 chance...
