French frogs

I am most shocked at how well they did in the FI. I think I'll hatch in it, even when the Brinsea doesn't have extra eggs in it. Was much easier viewing, but I still prefer the Brinsea for incubating and turning.

They are beautiful WV! :thumbsup

We use the FI 4250 and everything has worked okay for us. We ordered a tray liner, to fit. Surprisingly they have good customer service for an inexpensive incubator. What do you think about the Incuview Jophus got?

Hi Deb, any big plans for today? How are your little lings?

Good Sunday Morning Friday!!! I read up on the Orloff's last night. It's surprising they're not much more popular.

Must have some of these babies!  :love

Not sure what we'll be doing today other than moving the lings to the bigger brooder.  How about you?  How are those adorable chicks?

Must have incubator !!!

The 4250 is the plastic one with fan and all?? Mines the cheapest 2100, still air styro, but I must say, I'm pleased. Surprises the crap outta me

I looked at the IncuViews and I love the clear top, but if I was going to spend that much, I'd probably just get another Brinsea, or maybe an Rcom I think folks have had good hatches with them though.

But ya know, thinking now, their still-air is not so pricey....hmmmmmm may have to look at them again as possible hatchers.

Hopefully the lid won't be too difficult.

Um...what's a Bosque?

The lid will just be some plastic 1" mesh tacked to a couple of furring strips to cover the tote. Just need to find the word scraps. LOL

Bosque is a Spanish word for woodlands. It's the cottonwood forest along the Rio Grande.

Ya'll are a bunch of enablers 'round here...

We are going fishing tomorrow

I doubt I personally will get to fish much, but I will try to get the things fishing a little.
Mostly blue gill at the lake we are going to, those are fun.
Blue gill are such fun, especially for kids -- they are eager to bite, give just enough of a "fight" to make it fun for the kids and in the right place it's constant catching, very little fishing. Before our pond crashed (never bothered bringing it back, now it's just a big patch of cattails and frogs

) it was stocked with bass, blue gill, a few catfish and a couple of carp -- we used to have DH's crew (he was the NCOIC for the recruiting station he worked out of) out with their families every chance we got - the kids LOVED to fish the pond because as soon as your line hit the water you'd catch something. These were very well fed blue gill, but they still couldn't resist whatever bait you threw out there.
Had to smile at you not getting much fishing time - reminded me of when my dad would take us kids out to the local reservoir in our little row boat -- I didn't realize it at the time but he never got to put his line in the water much because he was so busy helping me with everything.

OFW is right, I vote for sleeping in the chair, too. Just watch the race until you doze off.
Can't beat a nice recliner for a sleeping spot -- I end up in mine more often than I do the bed, and it's especially helpful when I'm contgested!

Yup... I've been getting several day old notifs lately too...

Thought I was just having e-mail issues, glad it's not just me. Was ready to blame the state because they've been flooding my e-mail with notifications for all the courses, etc I've been "enrolled" in for work --- got 132 in the first day so figured maybe that was giving my e-mail fits.

Either my Lab or the Border Collie has some really nasty flatulence....

You have my sympathies -- my mutt, Jethro, has developed a nasty case of the night stinks lately - and, of course, he just *has* to sleep beside me -- whether I'm in the recliner or the bed he is right there on the floor next to me, snoring and farting away......

And maybe scrounge up some wood scraps, too.
