Was looking for something to insulate my incubator with. Remembered I still had the box it came in tucked away in the closet in my man cave. Yep, all the styrofoam it came in was still there. And wouldn't you know it, it was obviously built with the thought of being able to run the incubator in it.

Can't beat discovering the obvious! Get that man a beer!

And they don't bother to tell you the throwaway packing material is actually essential for the proper working of the product...

It was obviously built for it, but I never even looked at the packaging. My wife set the incubator up when it first came and I was at work. Read the instruction before the first set, and then again after that one sucked, and then came on here to start researching. Never looked at the stupid packaging.

I keep everything, my husband tosses or burns everything. So we end up with everything we don't need, and nothing that we do.

live and learn my friend..... And move on.... I lock down tomorrow.... Hope it goes well.... But with so much going on here right now I'm worried..... But as soon as it's done I'm grabbing another dozen eggs and give it heck.... I'll ask a few more questions and research a little more...... And go with it.

I didn't take it as derogatory at all. I actually intended to throw the box away 3-4 times while working on other projects, but each time decided to hold onto it invade I wanted to box it back up and store it. I'm glad I checked.

I am headed that way now. I just got off the phone with my dad. I really don't talk to him as often as I should.

That's awesome!! Just make sure you don't restrict ventilation. Mine had some holes in the base, plus I added more at each corner to be able to add water easier without opening.
