French frogs

Lovely!!! Can't wait to see them grow!

Good day Oz.

If I can get the buyer to keep me posted, we might see these grow.

She's picking them up this evening, along with 4 of the bantams from my last hatch.

So true -- we had one duck "gifted" to us (DH was a recruiter for the USMC, one of the guys he contracted had this duck......we had a pond.........which apparently meant it was a "perfect solution" when he had to ship out for the duck to come to us) -- which quickly became three because Judy Duck needed friends, and someone to teach her how to be a duck since she had been raised as a lap pet and had no idea how to be a duck.

Congrats on the new ducks!

I love the wildlife babies that appear every spring. We have a pair of ducks that have nested on our pond for the last three years running -- just waiting for this year's babies to show up following mama duck around.

Beautiful photos of a beautiful girl!

My kind of royalty!
Outstanding -- it is sad to see that so many outlets like that can't/won't take non-commercial goods. I get it, the whole food safety thing, but it is frustrating as heck to have good, perfectly useable food that could go to hungry folks and not be able to go that route to get it to them. Our local one can't distribute them themselves, but do have my name/number and have contacted me from time to time about a family in need, etc - and I also watch the local B/S/T page as a lot of times folks will post there in need of help and I'll offer up some eggs. For the most part I don't have an excess anymore, though, as on top of my regular customers I have DD and her fiance who come down a couple times a month to pick up eggs (her fiance had never had "real eggs" before he met her, he is HOOKED!) and I use gift eggs as a thank you for my neighbors who have welcomed our girls with open arms.

Enablers! My sister-in-law started us out the same way!

Hey Dan, I took this for you.
I had 2 persimmon plants that I had basically given up on, but kept watering the dirt anyway. Noticed this a couple of days ago, its sprouting!

Hope so maybe I can sneak a pic... But I don't want to disturb them.... I've been chased before... .jeez they can be mean if you get to close to their nest
Scoring for me is a way of life...

I was raised on horses too

My last mare we bought when she was 5 months old, we buried her on our place when she was 26. My Katy Lady! I still miss her

she's been gone for 3 years now. Lol I can't imagine getting bucked off a horse now!!!!

I was raised on them (both work and play - work was riding the open range areas in the summer keeping an eye on things for the local ranchers and also doing sorting/branding/etc work for my cousin's operations) and then spent a good period with no horses due to life situations, got back into them when my daughter was born having inherited the "horse bug" and we finally prevailed on DH to let her have a horse when she turned 12. As I knew would happen as soon as she got her horse I started feeling the pull again. It's amazing how your courage changes with age -- it took ONE ride on her nearly 17hh nutcase mare to show me I had suddenly developed a fear of falling -- so I went out and picked myself up a nice, short little mare that -- the ground being so much closer made the thought of coming off a little less scary.

I *was* going to be productive today (day off) -- got a good start on it with getting up and around, started laundry, cleaned the kitchen, got the garbage carts out to the end of the lane, did some tidying out at the coop, drug a tree that was taken out by a recent storm out to the pasture for the chickens to play on and fired up the mower -- made all of half a pass around the front side of the property and realized I had a flat tire.......now sitting here on BYC trying to figure out what to do next (a nap sounds nice, lol).

Drive safely Walnut! Hawk is doing great

Late good morning frawgies!
Nope. I won't, plus we leave a radio on in front of the coop at night.

Good day Oz.
