@WalnutHill
One of our turkeys just had a seizure and died, any thoughts as to what could be the cause?

We live to give you grief, but we get that everything is relative.
It is currently 94 here, but it almost feels cool in comparison, almost not quite, but we haven't even turned on the air today. The sky is overcast and the house is staying cool, I worked in the yard a bit and cleaned things up and gave everything some much needed water.
Good morning America! Hope today is better for everyone! I missed you guys![]()
I got home Friday afternoon and have been going non stop ever since! We had nightmare weather Friday eve. By 6 it looked dark! Winds around 55 plus mph, mature trees rockin back and forth the bows swaying so hard it looked surreal. Went from a 100 to 73 in an hour, an inch of rain lots of destroyed wheat crops with 2" hail 25 miles west of us. Next two weeks basically a hundred or real close..or higher. I hate the heat.
I was so happy to see my birds! My Ameraucanas looked like they were gonna die! Bruce actually hung an industrial fan up for them for me yesterday! Seriously, they looked close to strokin! It was a long two weeks in Missouri.
I back tracked a little. Phil?? You are not allowed to complain about 76 degrees! But, then again you could say we can't complain about zero!! Your shop looks awesome.
Amy and Walnut sorry about your birds...that is always heart breaking. Hugs, seriously. Oz and Dan, your flowers are so gorgeous! My Ameraucana flock has been my "garden" this year. all my chicken whispering has paid off in spades! Their extremely tame and all are very easy to pick up and handle
and they did indeed miss me! Friday, glad you get to be with your grandkids again![]()

Anyway, you guys were missed! Deb, Turk, farm wife, farm boy, I'm glad to be back home! Heat and all![]()
It actually got in the 90's same today supposed to reach into the 90's again then back to the 70's for a while
Wish that was my shop that's the shop I used to work at.....I took my truck there to work on it. I really didn't want to do that job on the ground needed a hoist. Hoist was great but my friends tools left a lot to be desired.
Nothing beats good tools.....
That's about what I thought you'd say. They are BBB's, I figured it had something to do with the breed or genetics.Sorry, Dan, no. I've never had that happen to any of my birds. Was it a broad breasted white or bronze? If so, likely heart failure from trying to keep cool.
