French frogs

@WalnutHill
One of our turkeys just had a seizure and died, any thoughts as to what could be the cause?

Good morning America! Hope today is better for everyone! I missed you guys

I got home Friday afternoon and have been going non stop ever since! We had nightmare weather Friday eve. By 6 it looked dark! Winds around 55 plus mph, mature trees rockin back and forth the bows swaying so hard it looked surreal. Went from a 100 to 73 in an hour, an inch of rain lots of destroyed wheat crops with 2" hail 25 miles west of us. Next two weeks basically a hundred or real close..or higher. I hate the heat.
I was so happy to see my birds! My Ameraucanas looked like they were gonna die! Bruce actually hung an industrial fan up for them for me yesterday! Seriously, they looked close to strokin! It was a long two weeks in Missouri.
I back tracked a little. Phil?? You are not allowed to complain about 76 degrees! But, then again you could say we can't complain about zero!! Your shop looks awesome.
Amy and Walnut sorry about your birds...

that is always heart breaking. Hugs, seriously. Oz and Dan, your flowers are so gorgeous! My Ameraucana flock has been my "garden" this year. all my chicken whispering has paid off in spades! Their extremely tame and all are very easy to pick up and handle

We live to give you grief, but we get that everything is relative.
It is currently 94 here, but it almost feels cool in comparison, almost not quite, but we haven't even turned on the air today. The sky is overcast and the house is staying cool, I worked in the yard a bit and cleaned things up and gave everything some much needed water.

It actually got in the 90's same today supposed to reach into the 90's again then back to the 70's for a while

Wish that was my shop that's the shop I used to work at.....I took my truck there to work on it. I really didn't want to do that job on the ground needed a hoist. Hoist was great but my friends tools left a lot to be desired.
Nothing beats good tools.....

I hope your truck is running good now and your feeling good, for a long spell. That's great that you have access to a shop! That hoist is night and day difference.
How's the kayak? Lots of rapids? Your a brave man indeed..!

Hello frawgs! Hope everyone has had a great day/weekend. Happy Father's Day to all you dads.

This weather is crazy. I can't remember ever being this hot in June.

I didn't catch up on everything I missed. Dan, I did read about your turkey. Sorry for your loss.

How's everyone? I don't think I've seen Bert around. Been thinking about ya'll and hoping all is well.

That's about what I thought you'd say. They are BBB's, I figured it had something to do with the breed or genetics.

The stress of growing those out of proportion bodies with high metabolism rates in hot weather can be too much for them. Do you restrict feed or free range them? If left to their own appetite they can eat themselves to death in as little as 8 weeks.

Since they are not good at scratching out holes in the dirt, if you give them dirt in the shade, ideally under a tree or under a double roof (one to block the sun, one a couple feet lower to provide real shelter) and whatever breeze is available, lots of water, and no excitement, they should handle those hot days. My two big gals just sit with their wings out and pant. I just make sure that the kids are outside with all their ruckus so these two can just relax and take it easy.
