I'd just be worried about those rolling over the chicks and flattening them... that's not a long drive... a thick layer of shavings in bottom of boxe, air holes punched in sides and top flaps closed works fine for a car trip that long... they'll huddle up and should be ok, just as long as she takes them straight to a warm brooder...
