So pretty Ravyn, glad Io is doing better. Amazing how fast they grow
to all, except SC... since he's too
for
the
gets a
instead... so he doesn't get
and
the crap outta us and then has to
from Sniper Friday...
I have a pot of spaghetti sauce on the stove for my lasagna tomorrow when the kids come over. It smells so awesome, the dog is laying on the floor in front of the stove.
Ok, I put a spoonful of it in his food, so he wants more...![]()
lol...
OH got the best Christmas present this morn... his Crash duck laid her very first egg...

Lady Greys egg left, Crash's on right...

Crash in front and Lady Grey...
It actually depends on what the size is normally for the breed/line you are working with, and how quick the pullets eggs gain size...
Some take a month, some less... if they start super small, definitely wait til they get close to normal sized... Lady Grey took almost a month to get hers to hatchkng size, my Am's started laying theirs 3/4 normal sized...
2 weeks to a month is a general good rule of thumb... but if you're just doing mixes, or fun projects, or have a catastrophe then go ahead and try... just keep in mind they *usually* have lower hatch rate, less thrifty chicks, and *could be* smaller at full size...
Btw, mixes *usually* don't have these issues compared to pures...
Oh, and Io's wing is all fixed...
