Lord no, we are not a dairy. We have one Angus that has a large bag, we milk her for our own use during the summer. I considered getting a jersey, for our own use, but milking everyday by hand at this point in life is not feasible. I take it you are not interested in taking over the farm.

It's a pretty complicated situation between my dad and my uncle. I'd never go in to business with my uncle. And right now my dad is a partner.

I'm on the phone, but he's a black, right? His breast almost looks laced.

Oh yeah, that I completely understand. It is a shame, there are so few small farms left. If it ever becomes a possibility try to go organic, or at least natural. People are willing to pay much more for quality food, small organic family farms, can easily sell privately (we do, it is a nice bit of extra income) and we sell the rest commercial. We do not have near the bushel, and it takes us 2 years instead of 1 to get the weight on them. But our overhead is really low, so it is all profit.

Solid black, yes... not laced, but has fine edges to his feathers... will try to get a good pic of that for you... comb is ok, muffs are amazing, beard isn't as full as I'd like but workable.... tail is held middle ground, I like it... and he is nice and beefy, lol... want to pair him up with the fat pullet...

You'll have a good hatch!!
