Red Ranger?
I thought so.That's it
I'm crossing some dark cornish roosters with a mixed flock of duel purpose, heavier birds. I have white rock, australorp, silver laced wyandottes, and some delawares. What are you breeding? I am not impressed with the Cornish cross, they are lazy stupid birds. So am looking at the jersey giant and red (something) and the cornish. Thought I would get 10 of each and see what I like.

are you going to stagger your groups, or raise all 50-60 at once? Thanks I will add them to my list to look at. I figure if I raise 50 birds this summer that is about one chicken a week, might go with 60 to help with losses.
My sister had wyandottes. (Probably still would if the neighbors dog hadn't killed themThanks I will add them to my list to look at. I figure if I raise 50 birds this summer that is about one chicken a week, might go with 60 to help with losses.

My sister had wyandottes. (Probably still would if the neighbors dog hadn't killed them) They were the first to lay (She also has Speckled Sussex) They laid the most eggs consistently
