French frogs

Thanks - glad you had a safe trip this weekend, too!

On the way home had a nice break walking around through the ruins of Fort Union, which was active from 1851-1891, and protected the Santa Fe Trail during the Indian Wars and the Civil War.  Lots of history there, back when NM was still a territory.

The hospital:

That's cool! What a neat looking building. Doesn't look very large, but I guess it didn't need to be at that time. Gorgeous blue sky too!

LOL Ravyn, yep, 96 in the first tray but I think you'd be hard pressed to fit that many in a Large Flat Rate box! Whenever you want more just let me know, I've been collecting since I set mine.

I got 6 green EE eggs today. 3 of them were really as blue as most Ams, one was the speckled olive, and two a beautiful rich moss green.

In the GQF:
Feb 27 - Mar 26 50 turkeys (1 shelf with turkey trays, but since some eggs are pretty small I can use 1 turkey and 1 chicken tray and set 68)
Mar 5 - Mar 26 96 chickens (1 shelf)
Mar 12- Apr 9 50-68 turkeys
Apr 2 - Apr 23 96 chickens
Apr 9 - May 7 20 turkeys

That leaves me with a full load from March 12 - April 23.

I'll use the Ova-Easy as the hatcher.

I better start building brooders!

If anyone wants a copy of the spreadsheet I put together to track incubation records, you're welcome to it. It doesn't do a chicken song on day 21 or anything but it's very useful.

Haven't candled the ones in yet, trying to wait til I can see for sure...
