Yeah, dirt is a lot cheaper than concrete.yea and nobody can run a machine but them. would rather have a young eager I want to learn kid. in a little while if they have the touch they will be so much better than the know it all's I get those handed down through the family operators .my daddy and his built houses together for years . but still can't get it right after years of running a machine. undercuts and overcuts make my life hell some times . a three inch overcut can add thousands to a job and very frustrated customers want to know why.
The best employees in the world are the ones with no experience, willing to learn, and understand that you do it how the boss wants it done, not how you think it should be. That's why so many immigrants are in construction. They have a good work ethic, they follow orders, and they understand what real work is. They don't do the same job for less money, they do a better job for more money.
The only problem with that is going to be the second generation...
