Nice.  Mine is an armorer rebuilt composed of serial numbers of two Lugers.  Cuts the value, but not the enjoyment.  

Mines a 1942...all original...my dad had the holster and all but I think my brother had it now and I'm not going to ask him about it.I think he wanted my dad's pistol but he got everything else. All the rest of his guns...some real collectors items. I'm a gonna let sleeping dogs lie. This was the only thing I wanted of my dad's.

bit the bullet this morning.  will have ten hens, and 5 of these roosters on their way in a week.

I've got a hatchery SLW hen that's about nine years old. Still looks healthy and pretty.

good morning Abbynormal I have silver laced and gold laced as too but they are not that pretty . you on the job ? haven't quite stuck on that name yet . but not sure if Mr. Wizard fits though . but a cop in crocs chasing a dog in the dark is still a funny picture

I may do some more research to get breeder birds.......but for now, this will work.

Sidewing dropped a lot for two like that . Foley stock . don't spend to much .

no, still hatchery birds.......I also got ten white leghorns for production.

these birds are good layers, and there is potential to sell some breed chicks, bc they are pretty.

plus, these were the wife's selection from the list I gave her.

plus, I don't have many true breeders in the area I live.....

Hope you get some nice ones, and the leghorns should definitely keep you in eggs. Betting hatchery birds won't look quite like that picture though, those are show birds.

So after much research and a lot of talking to people, I think I have settled on what breeds to get for meat this summer:
Cornish x- To make DH happy
Rhode Island Reds-they are heat tolerant and while I do not have some of you guys summers mid summer is hot and humid (personally I think it is all that irrigation and corn causing our humidity)
New Hampshire- good free rangers and heat tolerant
Cornish Roaster- A hybrid that is smaller then Cornish x without health problems
Dark Cornish- The guys that raise these her in BYC are rather passionate about them
Red Ranger- Heat tolerant again
I figured I would order 10 of each, this would protect me some from losses and I will try to keep the best hen of each breed (except the hybrid) back for breeding. Might try hatching next year.

Hatchery SLWs are pretty, but sidewing bought some high dollar breeder birds, and they are gorgeous. Stunning difference
