That lake had monsters in it....I threw a 25 pound female back a few years ago.....could hardly get my arms around her she was so full of eggs....I have the walleye to my fishing partner as I have plenty and he didn't get any keepers....plus he bought the bait...it's my neighbors grandson....knew him since he was born...freaking 20 years old now....:/

The state of California now concedes that I know how to handle food safely (100%! Yay!) OK, granted, I already knew most of the stuff on the online course--the only thing I didn't know was about the storing things at least 6 inches off the floor...

I don't yet have the licensing to be a cottage food operation--that will probably cost around $150 (my county's info for that isn't online--I'll need to contact a human) so profits from current sales will go towards that. Not that the licensing will make a difference for you guys--technically, once I'm licensed, as someone's OH pointed out elsewhere in internetland, anyone at the other end of a USPS delivery will be paying shipping, spending a silly amount on packing material, and getting gifts of fudge... I'm not exactly strengthening my case here, am I? Abbe, I said nothing

Not that you're health department, anyway...

Turns out I was off by $125--in the good direction

So the 2 local orders I have will pay for last night's food handling course and the licensing (once I get the permit application filled out and all the ingredients weighed so I can put them in order...) Won't quite cover ingredients fully as well, but if what I make with those ingredients all sells, then we're good.

That's awesome!! Glad for the mistake in the right direction, lol...

Well my littles are about 3 weeks now, and I've got to get them out of the house. Problem is that we're not done re-wiring the coop and I don't think they could handle hammering and drilling without having little panic attacks.

Problem with me working so much the last few weeks is that they are totally wild and skittish now. They panicked when I moved them to the small tote when I cleaned out the shavings today. Once I picked each one up and changed leg bands, they calmed down a bit.

Little suckers can really fly though!
