French frogs

Big bummer :( so sorry :( so at this time, ur water parameters are just getting back, right? Maybe theres hope for that anenome after all :)

Dont feel like that, i know better and ima b here to set u straight. U Stumbled onto Amazing stock only about 9 months ago, u had no direction but the desire to breed, and enough knowledge to kick a poor flock to the curb. Youve grown in leaps and bounds since you decided you want to breed. My opinion doesnt matter, but in it, your on your way up.

Well, my parameters were better within a week (after 7- 75% water changes). I wanted to let things settle down a little before adding anything else. I'm trying to tell myself I'm going to stay fish only, that's why I added the tang, but those coral are just so beautiful.,.
As far as the other, I don't take compliments well, so :smack , but thank you ;)
Stumbled is the appropriate word. It was total luck, but it has given me a whole new direction and interest in breeding that I never had

I was thinkn Tang eat the micoorganisms off the rock and will snack on coral, right? The fish only ones ive seen are really neat and at 90 gallons theres alota cool things you could keep n it.

I Know u stumbled on em, i was here :p or there but not There.... time for me to go outside! :frow

That's why I finally got a tang, no coral...

I had a basic saltwater tank years ago, but I was working 80+ at the time and never home, so that only lasted a year or so.

I'd love to do again, but keep it simple...shrimp, anemones, a couple of molluscs, some grass, a couple of seahorses, a starfish or two, a couple of urchins, and some bright colored fish. Nothing rare, nothing overly expensive, nothing too hard to keep. I still have my 60 gallon setup in the cellar.

I'd love to have an octopus, but training not to ink and foul the tank might be a challenge. And keeping him in would be the other challenge.

Nothing too hard to keep eliminates half of your wish list :gig
I love my tank, it was beautiful, and it's definitely a conversation piece, but there is a certain amount of headache that goes with it. That's why I'm so mad at myself for causing the crash. It was at that perfect age where everything was stable and flourishing. Human error brought the whole thing down

Walnut, if I ever started over, I would downsize, too. I'd drop to a 29 gallon Oceanic Bio Cube. That's a plug and play system, and I bet you would enjoy it. It's a large enough volume of water to handle minor swings, but small enough to cut down on maintenance. The single most peaceful thing in the tank is watching Nemo with an anemone, so I would build a tank around that. Like you said, add a few shrimp, maybe a couple of coral, and leave it at that. Clams are beautiful, but very finicky, and sea horses can't handle much water flow. Water is whipping in a full blown reef tank. My 90 gallon has a total flow of 3800 gph

If I could just live next to a tide pool I wouldn't want a tank. I took a trip a few weeks ago and spent hours just taking pictures of and watching small aquatic life in tide pools.

Or I may just throw a few crayfish in a bucket and call it good.
