Take a look at these muffs, these are from SF-Am roo over his SF-Am x SF-Am daughters: I think this one is over a Brahma cross daughter. And over RSL: They just got toe punched so don't mind the bit of blood. And they are not reliably feather sexable. Secondary characteristics work pretty well though, shape of shank, three row comb, squawkish voice and assertive behavior are generally males.
Those are beautiful chicks! :love I think you've really got something with the SF-AM line. I hate we're so far from each other. I've been looking for SF close by with no success. The hatchery birds don't have a big muff and beard. I have found eggs, though . I may copy your good idea next year. I'm assuming these birds have great dispositions, too? Good work! Oh, BTW #7 just hatched! :jumpy Guess me and the babies will just stay up and have our own SonRise Service!
