me too! And she's wanting to be even more spoiled today!

I put my dozen week old chicks with the three week old poults in the rabbit cage to make room for the spitz and EE hatch.  I started with one bossy little co...baby rooster, who decided to attack the turkeys that are three times his height.

Turkeys are gentle creatures compared to chickens, and took the little monster hanging off their necks with grace.  But when I moved the whole dozen over, the turkeys moved to the corner and the chicks are hogging the warm spot, hogging the feeder, hogging the waterer...the poor turkeys are crying for me to come and save them.

Crossing my fingers that this goes well...

Ohhh...the poor little turkey babies! That's terrible! Thats not how it's supposed to go! It does always start with one little mischievous one. I bet your probably gonna have to rescue them then again will they all settle down together?

I have been taking mine apart most times.  I didn't take it completely apart once, but remember asking SC if he did, and he said yes, especially after big hatches.  The fluff gets up in there, above the fan, so I now take the time to take it apart.  Hair dryer works fine too, if you don't have the can stuff.

So cute!  :love    (gotta love Dr. Oz!  :D )

So glad to hear Eve is better today!!

And since you asked, here's the hubby update - doc visit went great!  Basically cleared him for anything he feels up to doing!  I think he was happiest to be cleared to drink beer when he wants to.  :D    He's lost more weight and muscle mass, but he'll get all that back in time.  The treadmill is already helping, and now I can be a little less "nurse" and a little more "wife"....  ya know... "get up and get it yourself, you need the exercise!"

That's exactly me!  Our parcel was the original also, and we are technically outside the lines, but we have to drive through it to get to our house.  We pay dues, for winter road cleaning and summer road sealing.  No one has complained about my chickens yet (Armand, the loud mouth!)  but if they do, I hope we don't get into a pizzing contest about boundaries.

Another good reason to re-home that scoundrel!

I swear Oz, I told him this morning that he was going to live with Uncle Oz, after I opened the gate to his run, and he came flying out at me.

I think I'm going to introduce him to his replacement son tonight. Now I would question giving him to anyone though.

My wife hates a flogging rooster. I let one stay a few years ago and she still holds it against me and all roosters. I hate that especially since he's so pretty. :(

I'm hoping his hormones are just in an uproar. He doesn't really flog, he just kinda waddles toward me, like he wants to flog. But stops the second I turn to look at him (I'm always watching him, even when he thinks I'm not). He's got 3 girls, all to himself! All my other males have competition, but he doesn't. I might just need to put him in solitary confinement for a bit.
