French frogs

Hatch is done.

100% shipped eggs, 100% damaged air cells, a few full rollers and the rest saddled.  I pulled the plug 24 hours after the first hatch, and the hatch was done (eggtopsied all unhatched).

Overall 67 chicks out of 81 eggs that started growing (a couple may not have, they were too dark to see through).  72% of the eggs that I thought showed signs of growth did hatch.

The best hatch was in my cooler hatcher, next in the Ova Easy, and finally the Eco 20.  The only sticky chicks were in the Eco 20, as well as the only ones that did not absorb all their yolk.  All eggs spent the first 18 days in the same tray in the GQF so this was a hatching test.

Ravyn, yours ended up with a 64% hatch rate that would have been higher if I had removed the 4 eggs that did not develop.  Farmboy, yours ended up with a 46% hatch rate with 7 of them failing during lockdown.  All of those had really bad air cells and I think laying them down prevented the chick from getting to the air.

I am happy with the hatch, I have a tub full of beautiful bouncy chicks!  Pics after they are all fluffed.

Thanks for the report! I'm glad you were able to get some chicks!

WE JUST BEAT THE #1 TEAM IN SOUTH CAROLINA 15-3!!!!

Awesome! Congrats! What position does your boy play?

I've never been to a ballgame..... My son goes ever week..... I've hinted to him if like to go.... I won't go by myself..... Maybe this year...:idunno
I watched all most every game last year..... I've been to the Michigan NASCAR race about 15 times though.

My first husband was the sports fan (I was the best sports wife). We went to many many pro games, football and baseball. Lots of Nascar races too. Most memorable, Charlotte, summer of '91, 7 months pregnant! Huge! Lol

I've never been to a NASCAR race and I grew up in Wilkesboro, NC. I've been to small tracks and drag strips though.

Wilkesboro and Martinsville were easy tracks for us, but I've been to alot of them. Hit the VA state line, stop at the first rest stop to mix bloody Mary's. :D

You can take the girl out of Southern California but you can't take the Southern California out of the girl. There's not enough Bailey's in the world to make me tolerate that kind of cold.

Don't feel bad OZ I've never seen a country music concert and I've lived most of my life in and around Nashville . only been to one Titans game and somebody gave me the tickets . I like the hockey games but not to watch the games .I like to watch the fans . them people crazy . and I've never paid to go to those . Salesmen foot the bill .we have a minor league ball team and I ain't to fond of them. guess I'm just a mean old cuss ain't I .

He's recovering from shoulder surgery so he only bats right now. He's the DH. Usually plays catcher.

I hated it when NASCAR moved out of Wilkesboro . My dad used to go to the races. Back then they made moonshine runs all week and raced on Saturday .
