Hope it goes well!!
Our TSC doesn't carry Brewers yeast, I had to order it online from Amazon... AniMed Brewers yeast, 2lb jar... the yeast you stir in a tblsp per cup of feed... what feed are you using? Flock raiser has a bit more niacin than chick starter, so you can get away with less or none for a bit if you need to...
The vitamins, are they tablets? Which kind? B complex? I think it's Amiga that said you can crush those and dissolve them into their water...
Hope this helps...
Gorgeous babies!!![]()
That's so awesome Turk!! So proud of you and happy your family is helping as well. I'm sure it makes them happy to be able to help!!I been meaning to ask u about a vit supplement I got from TS, made by durvet. It dosed at 22.5 mg of niacin per 1 gal o water once mixed. I feel like that's less than the recommended amount o niacin(?), but it also had vits a, d, e, and b12, plus a lack o iron, which was the selling point becuz I know u've told us the chicks shouldn't have iron, and I wanted to use it for hatchlings. Nobody's havin leg issues ducks and chicks alike (or wing or anything for that matter) and they're at 10 weeks and 1 week now. Cost 10$ to treat 20 gallons, which is probably too high but I started tripin decided I HAD to do sumthin before they grew into issues, an I can't find the brewers yeast anywhere.
Also; my dad and grandfather have decided to start supporting my ambitions in poultry. They like how happy the birds have made me and they've come to understand that I would not psychologically be recovered to the degree I am without them. They see the improvement and they want to help me help myself... My grandfather wants to pay to have sand trucked in for the property, and my dad is pulling down 500 ft or so of a 4 ft chain link fence that belonged to a friend, so that he can bring it to me!!! Hubby also sees my plans falling into place? Told me to go ahead an order the brand new 60$ 44th edition of the APA SOP!!

Looks like white... beak is paler too... gonna breed whites then?
Awesome support you're getting!!!
The aim for ducklings amount of niacin in water is 150mg per gallon of water...
B Complex capsules can be used too... You can use the B3 level in it to determine how much water to add to it... The target is 150 mg B3 per gallon of drinking water...
Brewers yeast is 1 tblspn per cup of feed mixed in...
