Oh, I forgot the best part... not only is the Call pen right outside their bedroom window, but their window is open 24/7 now since their AC is broke... the idiots pressure washed the unit while it was running...![]()

Here... this is a quiet night of putting up the Calls... had to block the lens though cuz the light made them shut up, lol...
Wow...that's a noisy flock!

Oh, almost forgot--anyone have good chicken flying photos? One of my students insists chickens can't fly, despite 4 different people (past and present chicken owners--2 teachers, 2 peers) telling him that yes, in fact they do. He'll accept photographic evidence, though. I'm stuck inside scoring... Besides, when I go outside, everyone runs about on the ground, 'cause that's where the (possible) food goes! Pretty sure, for evidence, the birds need to be in the air--I can see him saying that someone just put the chicken there (granted, my chicken in a tree pics are a result of human placement, about 90% of the time...)

Guineas would be a nice touch! A poultry symphony. I've got a pet Silkie that can crow non stop every fifteen seconds for an hour. And it's not a bantam crow either. I would be glad to mail him to you!
BTW, what time do the Calls wake up?

No thanks... our boys crow in sync with the games down the valley every night... midnight, 2, 4 and 6...
They're up at sunup, but don't sound off til they see me come outside to let them out...
I'm planning to mail The Lieutenant and one of the Darryls to Illinois tomorrow. Live bird box is ready.
I hope the mailman doesn't shoot them for non-stop crowing!!![]()
