It is more difficult now to avoid him in the summer because we are always out and about. During the winter the girls and I hide from him. I know it is awful I am teaching my children to avoid a problem rather then face it. But they cannot be gotten rid if short of rudeness, and then I make myself feel guilty for being a B.Besides it us fun, we play ninjas and slink against the walls, to get to the basement

I have to share on this note, my grandparents joind their church by those Freakn weekly visits, and it drove me nuts. They were both very sweet people who would let anyone in for a quick visit :/ I especially hated the funeral service which was more of a 'save the masses' than testament to my grandparents lives, made me angry and I was clear about that. I don't think your so much teaching them to hide from problems as to be kind vs rude
