My squash has been blooming since march.

Every year I say I' going to start earlier and never make it . I just planted beans and am going to try for late squash and corn . The storms stopped me from planting yesterday .It's time to hit all the stores looking for annuals that are left over and on sale . Turned on the irrigation in the small garden a couple days ago and then the storms come . Works every time .

. I find you can plant many things late if you have ample water . They will grow till the first frost . Ate my first squash out of the garden last night it was so good . Waiting on cherry tomatoes to ripen now .Almost can't wait .

Yeah, my daughter's HOA would love that. :gig   Actually they can have up to 5 hens, but the coop must match the house exactly (paint & trim), even the roofing material.

Just went over with DH how to water everything down in the mornings, open the shed and turn on the fan in the afternoons, and collect eggs twice a day.  Oh, and if he sees a chicken passed out in the run, dunk it in a bucket of cold water to see if he can save it.

We also have a fire in the mountains, so the sky is smoky.  (Reminds me of the smog I grew up with. :sick )

Mrs. Oz has been freezing jugs of water and putting them in our large brooder with a small fan blowing across it to keep our young ones cool. So if you've got a brick house you gotta have a brick coop?
