Friendliest Bantam Breed for Roosters?

We hadn't heard of a nasty Silkie roo, either. Now we hear and experience him all the time. For now, that is.

We hadn't considered a Serma. I will look into that.

We have some standard Ameraucana hens and a roo. He is a "real Ameraucana" (good lines) and he is black, beautiful, and sweet. Takes good care of the ladies and has a nice crow (really). Are the bantams like this?

I think personality really depends on the bird not the breed although there are some known to be more friendly and docile. I would not breed your nasty ones as they will pass down that nasty gene to their offspring. Good Luck!

We have a bantam mottled cochin roo that is AWESOME. Not only is he my kids favorite but we also took him to my kids preschool 2 years in a row and let all the kids hold him. He could not have been more patient and sweet

I think Japanese or Seramas. Both cuties, and all the ones I've met or heard of were total sweet hearts.
