How well do Buff Orpingtons lay?
buffs can lay up to 340 eggs per year compared to the smaller breeds laying about 220
Did you mean 240? I've raised Buff Orpingtons for years (from a number of different sources) and there is no way that they can lay 340 eggs per year, which is almost at world record levels. The only breeds (or hybrids) that have ever reached that many eggs in a year are White Leghorns, Black and Red Sex Links, and a few Black Australorps (back in the 1920s). My Buff Orpingtons typically lay 3-4 eggs per week over about 200 or so a year.

My blue laced red wyandotte is a sweet heart. She's really smart too. My cuckoo maran hen and roo are also tolerant of me and come running to me whenever I got outaide

The breed in my flock that is friendliest towards people is diffidently the Speckled Sussex.

What is an easter-egger?

Easter Eggers (EEs) are not an APA recognized breed, they are a mix of different breeds. They are sometimes referred to as 'Rainbow Layers.' Easter Eggers are essentially descendants of Araucanas and Ameraucanas on one side of the family, and any other breed on the other side of the family. Easter Eggers do not breed true. To 'breed true' means that purebred chicks resemble both parents. Easter Eggers are often intentionally confused with Araucanas and Ameraucanas by use of the misspelling "Americana" or Americauna" by unscrupulous and/or ignorant sellers. Easter Eggers are great layers, but you don't know what color the eggs will be, exactly.
