Rhode Island Red cockerel/rooster, 14 weeks old (born early March 2024).
“Caramello” is a very healthy and friendly young rooster. He is good confined in a run or out on free range. He has been raised a complete diet (Purina starter/grower) supplemented with fresh veggies and pasture.
We let the chickens out all day and they stay close to home. He comes when you call him and will eat out of your hand.
He can be handled and picked up, as he was raised around children. Caramello is growing into a really beautiful rooster.
We think he would be great as part of a backyard flock. He looks after the other chickens and runs off any birds or cats that come into the yard. Non-aggressive.
We would keep him but our area does not permit roosters.
$15 is for delivery within ~30 miles. Free for pickup around Central Ohio, USA.
