Friends? Does anyone have TRUE ones? Venting!

I have a wonderful friend that I have known since we were 4 years old! Over the years we have had many fights and blow outs that made us sever our friendship. A few years in high school over a boyfriend and cars. Thru college I missed her...we reconnected after 12 years and I visited her in NY and PA then had another separation until she came back to WI. I found her on line about 6 years ago and we have become closer than ever! I just spent the weekend at her place and we had a blast just staying home!
You might just need a little break in your friendship is my message to you. If you both value the friendship she will be receptive to you calling her again in a little while. Give it a rest and try again....you never know. In the mean time...we all have a ton of animals on here and you can have internet friends that dont judge!

I love your posts. You are hilarious. Too bad all of these great people who would make great neighbors and friends are in places all over the planet. We will never meet, we don't get to be friends in the 'go to lunch' sort of way, but you have a boatload of friend here. A flotilla. seriously.

Thanks everyone, there ARE a ton of good people on here. Some of us have met but I do wish it could be more. My dearest friend in the world is a fellow BYCer, the Old Rebel. I guess my point is, I like alot of people for alot of reasons and I don't define someone on one issue of their life. I don't smoke but have friends that do, etc. She has defined me as someone with alot of animals and she thinks it is wrong. At least that's what I got out of the conversation. I said "these animals are my passion, my hobby (for lack of a better word). I would embrace you and whatever was your passion, etc."
I am a good person, I don't bother anyone. So this hurts......

Sorry, that sounds harsh, but I've found I've gotten way more loyalty and unconditional love from my animals than a whole lot of people that professed to be my friends.
I am blessed with a few good ones that love animals as much as I do-those are the keepers.
