just got back... they only counted the usable square footage.... final tally is 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, huge living room, master bedroom with attached sun room, and bath....... bad news........ somebody stripped all the copper, stole the boiler, knocked holes in the walls, stole all the fixtures, and busted up pvc in the basement.

I was going to say...one bathroom?! You have a house of teenaged girls! 3 bathrooms, that's better.

I like the big kitchen! The mint green laundry room was scary. Does the price of the house take into account the current condition? Sounds like you'll have to do quite a bit of work to make it ready to move in. Otherwise, I think it has a lot of potential! 5 acres and a nice, big barn!

Square footage usually only counts the usable living area.

Is there area that is not included in the posted sq ft?

that was the useable area... There is a lot unused, and plenty of hidden rooms and stairwells the led to nowhere... an iron bolted door locked in the old basement, secret room in the barn..... trying to decide if this was part of the rum running heritage or it was used to film the people under the stairs.
