Friends Welcome

Well today Coco went from slightly weeping head sores to a oozing crater. The left eye is completely blind. no fever or sign of infection, he climbs on the bed to lick my nose good morning like everyday. Then he polished off a can of tuna purring the whole time. He seems to be his goofy self. When it was clear the tumor was growing again, I'd expected him to pass in his sleep.

Sorry CC but around here you can't just say the word... it's more like

Gotta have the visual to go with the word.

My feed store never carries chicks unless the locals are having a swap meet which only happens a couple times a year. But I do have lots of friends who are huge enablers...

You're too young to use that smilie when looking at that picture, unless you're thinking of that squirrel smothered in mushroom gravy...

We are wearing sandals because it's warmed up to 30*. Some are even in shorts already. Warm is like insanity, completely relative

I used to think any man cold be replaced by a subscription to popular mechanics but now I've added Google and YouTube to that list. I find great how-to videos on everything from hair-do's to fixing the snowblower. I wish I was there to help. I built a simple run to lock my roos in, "the bachelor pad" how many roos do you have? use the pallets as fence panels, ziptie them together, throw the screens over the tops, viola! rooster run! I buy zipties in bulk, I use them for everything, quick, easy and really cheap! and they sork great. The goats used to break the metal fence clips but the zip ties held them.

2 months is enough time to cure the mites and lice. The ameraucana can be tamed, hand feed her and handle her everyday. It won't take long.

I lived in Alaska and Minnesota. I had to move to New Mexico to experience a blizzard. I guess the other places I had the sense to stay home.

So what are you saying?

You guys should see the AWESOME nesting boxes they made for the Super Coop. They are hip high, deep, and have a hinged top that opens to collect the eggs and a removeable bottom for easy cleaning!!!! I can't wait for this thing to be done so you guys can see it.
