Warm tea and a spoon of honey to sweeten it.

Don't forget the squeeze of lemon and a hit of the good stuff

Dang... we had so many posts on the old thread!
I'm leaving to go baby-sit, er grandma-sit, my grandma with alzheimer's at my their house, so i wont be checking the thread until tomorrow. try not to do TOO many funny things without me, will ya?
Grandma has coffee! (i think she forgot its lent)well, waste not, want not. i am not going to let those poor, cold frappachinos go rotten in a lonely fridge. while im at it, i probably should not leave the ice cream, dr. pepper, or SEE'S candy to moulder away either. i think if i lived at grandmas full time i'd blow up like a ballon in a week and a half... make that a day and a half!
so

Hey you guys, I"m loads behind. Been away from my desk all freakin' afternoon, and we even have some relatively new people chatting on here and I'm MISSING IT ALL!

Maybe I'll get on BYC tonight from home. I can't stand being away from this thread.

hhmm, a little up a little down. I know that feeling.

I got back from Wal-Mart (yes I really hate the place but sometimes have no choice) a little while ago...
I spent $305, felt like poodoo when I walked out the door without a dern thing in my hand...
Had my eyes examined and ordered contacts and glasses.
The Doc wanted to dilate my eyes because I am a diabetic, I agreed to it even though it makes me feel ill for the rest of the day.
I made my way home without dying, let the little dog out and sat down to chat with all of you...
forgot about the dog's habit of breaking out when left out too long...
ended up calling, chasing and trying to bribe the dog back into the yard...
all this while my eyes are still dilated and it hurts to be in the sun

list so far:

enchladas
tacos
stuffed peppers
orange chicken
kung pow chicken
pork stirfry
lasangna
french onion soup
baked potato soup (must stop making so much cream based soup!)
ravioli
black beans and rice

all of that is in heavy rotation here (about twice a month on each) it's too early to pick from the garden, so trying to add in something different.

lansana (sp?) not shure if your fam likes that tho

We love lasagna here too, I make mine with cottage cheese.
Everyone says they can't believe it when I tell them it's cottage not ricotta...
Cottage cheese is way cheaper than ricotta around here.
Saves me about $2-3
