My favorite little leghorn "pullet" of the three I got is about 2 months old and looking different than "her" sisters. Bigger, redder comb and earlobes, dominance over "her" sisters...... I have a sneaking suspicion that "she" is really a "he"

Seriously, what is the masculine form of "Pearl?" I might need to change the baby's name.

Black Pearl? Pretty masculine if you ask me

Marlon Brando?

and you say wha? and I say, Pearl reminded me of Margaret because look in the baby book and that's what the definition says... how do I know because if you look in the baby book under Gretchen it says, "see Margaret" which made me think... what's the masculine of Margaret? I don't know? Marlon? Which made me think of the actor... and here we are. See, it wasn't THAT crazy.

Self blues!? Lucky you!

I got some gorgeous barred cochin eggs from Chickencoop; they're in the bator right now (along with some of my Serama eggs). I also got some Silkie/Cochin mixes and Sebright mixes from her. I wanted to make another broody flock.

Are you going to have your nose pressed to your bator all night long?

Ooooooooo... do you have a spare one of those floating around? I'd love one please. (And how does he keep the ferrets in a pouch? Mine have always been little escape artists.)

I checked your blog, CityGirl - those Silkies are looking so beautiful! I love the baby pictures - you had a great hatch! My St. Patty's day hatch went very well, but I decided to sell most of them.
