Friends Welcome

Yep, I've seen him - he's beautiful!

My guy is a jerk - he never challenges me or Matthew, but whenever Ella goes down with me, he lights into her. But he's too valuable to eat, so I just keep her close to me when she goes down with me.

So far mine has been very friendly. I hope it stays that way.

Sooo, about trading eggs.....

I've got the Blue Orp boys up on CL, so once they clear out, I need to give the Ameraucanas a few weeks to make sure they're pure. Then sure, I'll send you some eggs! I'm going to toss the rest of my EE's and my Polish hen in with the Ameraucanas, too, but the Ameraucana's egg is very distinctive, so I won't get them mixed up.

I need to make sure mine are fertile since they are youngso a few weeks is no problem. I have the roo and hen in with BO's too, no mistaking those Ameraucana eggs. Mine have a green tint to them, but they are NOT Bo eggs.

I was pretty bummed about it, I wanted a really blue egg, but they're still really pretty and the color is much more intense than my EE's, so I'm just hoping their offspring have a bluer egg.

Me too!!!! My EE's eggs are GREEN. My mutts are developing so I TOTALLY tell who the mom was. Two are from the BSL and one is from a RIR, and the other is from one of the EE's. The roo is a BLRW in that pen.

you People hatching will keep the rest of us posted, and post enough pictures to drown someone in, right?
*By someone, i do NOT mean my little sister, whose nickname happens to be Someone*
**dont ask**
