We hatch with the understanding that males are destined to be dinners. The boys know that each roo needs several "wives" or else they'll fight and hurt each other. So chicks are vent sexed at hatching, banded, and the males are competing for the alpha spot, the rest will become tamales.

Oh, I am okay with the eating of the males. I totally get that there are too many that hatch to service the available girls. I have sold/traded many of mine to people using them as dinner. I just don't want to do the head whacking myself. It is my one girly girl hold out. I figure I do all the other "man chores" around here that I can safely draw the line in the sand on that one.

(And please don't yell at me about the "man chores" crack. I understand that there is no such thing as we live in a gender neutral society and woman can and should do everything that men do, except perhaps father babies.

Lets see, there are bits that have a curve in them, some have rollers in them, others are called snaffle. snaffle is like two pieces and they are joined in the middle, so they like fold or bend around or I don't know how to describe stuff very good. Later I will try and take pictures and post them. There are different lengths of shanks too! ha ha, thats the part the reins hook to. They can be long or short, or none, just a ring or d-ring. hee hee

Well, I'm back from my jog, and my trainer from my track team wants me to jog in my pasture

I don't know why, but I did and...I took my dog. So..I'm jogging and there is this muddy steep hill, well I'm trying to go down it and I slip...my dog sees me and thinks: "Ooo!! look how fun!" and he bumps into me. So I'm all muddy, then when I'm about to leave...there is my neighbors long horn bull blocking the gate. I didn't want to take any chances...So I take the long way through the woods. I got home but with a lot of scratches
