On the pratcial side, they are tiny chicks, and tiny birds, most are a 1/2LB size. They reek worse than any other animal I know, so they are an outside bird. Unless you are raising them as a gourmet treat (they do taste fab, I have recipies), it's best to just keep a colony for tiny eggs. I keep mine in a harem for 4-5 hens per roo. Do not attempt to keep males together, bloodletting will result, they are crazy vicious. Most birds can be feather sexed, which helps.

I did for 2 hens, but I already had males, it was to have enough girls to go around. Honestly they have short life spans, and you'll want to breed your own, in small groups.
