Friends Welcome

Thank you Debbi and Choco - my DH is holding up okay, but all the driving to and from NY (4 hours each way) and the "unknown" are really wearing him out. He had some alone-time with Jenny and said all he wanted to say before she slipped away further. He read her the 23rd Psalm from his Bible too. Hope she heard...

Thank you for the good wishes Sibone. My job is to take care of my DH, to listen when he needs to talk about Jenny, and to shut up when he wants to be alone. Jenny was born with the umbilical cord around her neck, depriving her brain of oxygen, so a lot of the brain died during birth. The result was severe Cerebral Palsy. She has never spoken or walked or been able to use her hands. A very hard life, and all the more cruel that she should pass away from brain cancer. But she is loved by dozens and dozens of people. She was special.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Buff.

Love you Laura!

It's official. I'm having another baby.

I had the 1st ultrasound today and got to see the baby's heartbeat, so now I'm reasonably confidant that I won't miscarry (I've lost 2 pregnancies before.) This pregnancy was a huge surprise and it's taken me a little while to get used to the idea. The kids are thrilled and have already started talking to my stomach. I'm due November 30th. So far, I feel great - very tired and sometimes nauseous, but otherwise fine.

To Boyd and all the others who (several months ago) teased me about being pregnant: I TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE GOING TO JINX ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't call it a jinx... Being a teamster... I'd say something more along the lines that the Fix was in haha
