good morning friends.
I have many chickies and ducklings in the garage in baby pools. Husband is starting to complain. I believe I shall bake something today to distract him from the smell in the garage.
We've had nearly 3 inches of rain here in two days. I'm waiting for 4 hours of 75 to 80 degrees to have the morels pop out. Sending boys to the tick infested woods should the sun come out at all to bring back dinner.
Of my 14 adult ducks, I'm down to 6. They've been roaming to far and have become part of the darker section of the circle of life unfortunately. However, the teacher that I took duck eggs to brought back the ducklings. Now on to the next generation.

Hope you all are well, as I cannot keep up with this thread and my life at the same time these days. IRM, I said a prayer for that new mom for ya. Very sad.
Waiting to hear more about the New Madrid earthquake from here too. Let me know when I should batten down the hatches.

Are y'all sure you don't want a rooster? I've got a big, fat, fluffy one over here that would LOVE to free range all over your property(and get eaten by a coyote while he's at it). He's cute!

He'll fluff up at you in the run, but never while out free-ranging. I think he gets bored. He doesn't fluff up at me when I'm sitting down, though.

He is most definitely not as cute as my horse, who in one week went from wooly mammoth to slick and sleek quarter horse.

I'm about to go riding. I'm taking my camera, so hopefully I'll get some good shots.

And this time I won't forget my SD card! Brought my camera out yesterday, but forgot my SD card. Drove all the way home to get it, getting run off the road in the process by some guy going too fast around a curve. Sadly, by the time I got back to the ranch, both horses had rolled and were muddy.

(a smack for each horse!)
I just got some cool pictures of my walk through the neighborhood. Will post a couple soon. It's like a rain forest here, with the water fall and bird sounds.
