Well, some of it is the same line of thinking you got to your question. Sometimes people are trying to breed a better bird, closer to the standard, sometimes they want to show the bird for 4H or something.

The New Madrid fault is like almost any other big fault. It is always ready to blow. Yes, there was a big earthquake on the New Madrid. The Mississippi River flowed backwards and Reelfoot Lake was formed.

I've never seen anything like what I've seen this morning. It's a horrific vision that I will live with for the rest of my life. Those of you who are believers, please pray.....


But do not pray for me, pray for the mother who came in and delivered a 17 week old baby in the ER this morning.

A perfectly formed baby, translucent skin, perfect little fingers, perfect little toes. Could have fit in the palm of your hand. I can still see the baby just as clear as I did only a few hours ago, and I can still hear her sobbing and asking the Lord why.... May God be with that family today.

So, I have a mystery-
on thursday night, when i went to the fairgrounds for barn duty, there were only 2 spanish chicks in our brooder display. Friday morning, when i came in, there was a little red chick inside the brooder as well. No other members of my club had been there yet... i named him Hobbes, after calvin and hobbes.

Just saw a cat get chased by a dog into the woods. It looked hurt pretty bad on it's back half, but the dog couldn't keep up. I'm hoping/guessing the cat survives.

Poor kitty, I spent some time looking for it, but it didn't want to be found.

When I was younger, I used to root for Calvin. Now that I'm a parent, I sympathize with his parents. Especially since I have a blond-haired little boy (whose hair was always sticking up) that could give Calvin and Dennis the Menace a run for their money.
