I was really hoping you could tell me what to expect from this group, so I'm so glad you're on! They're the healthiest and hardiest little batch of babies! I got a total of 14 babies hatch. The last 2 were shrink-wrapped in their shell and I had to peel them out (no blood veins were left, yolk completely absorbed) and one of the shrink-wrapped babies died the next day, but that was my only loss.
I had a total of 6 black one (one of these was the one that died). Now that the're a little older, some of them have some subtle barring coming in on the wing feathers, so I'm assuming those are my barred cochins.
5 Blue - they're coming in a nice solid blue. A few look like they have Silkie feathering. (Was pure Silkie even a possiblity?
)
3 oddballs. The white Silkie looking one is coming in with Silkie feathers. The other 2 are the Seabright crosses (I think). I thought the little brown one had wry neck, but it seemed to right itself on it's own.
This little black one is the only chick I had hatch out of my own Serama eggs. I took a pic of him next to the white Silkie-looking bantam just cause he's so tiny!
Edited because I can't count the chicks in my own pictures.
