, so hopefully in a few weeks I'll be able to start filling orders on my waiting list. You're on that list, xyresicchick.

Since some folks may wonder...my bantam frizzle Cochin rooster is quite large for a bantam. Chicks from these eggs will vary in size, but none of them should/will be small bantam size. All of my hens are average size standards, except for my black OE hen...she's huge due to her black copper Maran lineage. The black copper frizzle looking chicks from her eggs are big...especially the roosters. Chicks from my EE and Ameraucana hens can be considered "small standards" I suppose...kind of in between a large bantam and average standard.

You know what? I think your roo is a lemon blue, not a buff.

which would explain why it looks like some of those chicks you hatched from him are frizzle brown reds!

see my byc page -- i have 2 brown red frizzle Cochin hens that they are reminiscent of.

Here's a pic of my rooster when he was a youngster. Mighty cute little fella.

The black chicks in the pics have copper on their necks...their mother is the black Olive Egger that is pictured. She's black copper Maran breeding, so her lineage is where the chicks' coloring is coming from.
With the rooster's unusual coloring, I can't wait to see what chicks from the blue wheaten Ameraucana hens look like.

Shelley, is that the little frizzle cockerel you got from me last summer? I always thought he was cute, but didn't know he was such a stud muffin!
