Question: do I have to worry about Freckles feathers around her eyes growing too long? Because they are super curly and almost touching her eyes

Hi, no expert here, but speaking from experience with silkies, I know some birds really have an abundance of feathers around the eyes and it does interfere,
Just keep an eye on them, if they look like they need trimmed then do so. BUT only if they really need it, remember once you trim them they will be "prickley" more so than before so do keep a close watch.

I bought my chics from tractor supply as non sexed bantams..and got three frizzlesanyone think thts unusual.? I paid 1$ each for them.

Paying $1 seems pretty unusual but as far as getting Frizzles, no thats not unusual, I got a lot of Frizzles from TSC, they were not exceptionally healthy though, I guess it just depends on how many that hatchery has on hand when TSC orders.

I got this little frizzled bantam a couple days ago. She's in kinda rough shape with some bad leg mites. I'm treating her for them and I think she'll be doing great in a few weeks. I've never had a frizzle before and I'm not 100% sure this is a she. I was told by her previous owner that she is a 1.5-2 year old hen. She has a bare spot on her chest. Maybe she was starting to go broody? Anyway, I'd love some opinions.

She has a rather large comb but that's not unusual, looks like a hen to me, any eggs????

This is Freckles! She is kinda friendly and I'm calming her down. I was just wondering how big a fully grown frizzle hen will be? She's my first one and it wasn't a planned buy. I had never even saw this breed before!
Anyway!...
I think she is a couple of months old. Maybe?

Freckles is adorable!
The size of the bird is going to depend on the breed that the Frizzle was introduced to. Frizzle is not a breed, I KNOW someone is going to argue but Frizzle is just the condition of the feathers, and if the Frizzle gene is in a bantam Cochin it will be Bantam size, but if it is from a large fowl, Wyandotte, or Barred Rock or whatever it will be more that size. Most seem to be small, being crossed with Cochin bantams.
Cochin crosses are cute, the rounded tail makes them look like little curly balls.
You do not want to breed your Frizzles to Frizzles so you decide which size, breed, you want to be Frizzled, then work from there.
