5 1/2 weeks old , bantam cochin, I purchased as a pullet almost 2 weeks ago , a little young at that time to be sure but I couldn't help myself I just fell in love, looking for everyone's thoughts, PLEASE BE A PULLET , I cant have a roo

Leaning towards roo because of the wattle development sorry, but wait a few more weeks to be sure

I really hate to say it but I'm 98% sure that is a Roo. Here is my 4 week old red frizzle cochin bantam pullet.. then here is my red cochin bantam roo and that pullet. Again. I can't say 100 but I'm so sorry I really think you have a boy there. I'm sorry.

unfortunately Im leaning that way too, Im in denial since no crow yet, but as days go by ........

Such a cutie!!! I still think boy, sadly. But you could definitely keep him until there’s a problem! Maybe he won’t crow for awhile.

There are also ways to be considerate of sleeping neighbors. I have kept roosters in city limits by just putting them in a cardboard box with shavings every night and not letting them out until about 9:00 am. That way they aren’t crowing early. Or you can definitely find him another good home. Such a cutie, someone will want him for sure!
