Frizzled Guineas????

Update for y'all..

Their feathers seem to be straightening out but a couple still have some screwy feathers on their wings. I guess it was just the conditions they were being kept in. They're all running around in the grow off pen happy and healthy. Thank you all for your support (those of you who were supportive that is...).

Have to admit, in a way, I'm kind of disappointed the feathers straightened out. Frizzled Guineas might have been kind of cool.

Bless your heart, they'll repay you in kind you wait and see!! I think it's one of the hardest things to walk past any animal and leave it in the conditions that are not what they should be. Thank you for the update, I bet they are just beautiful!! Ok, beautiful with them skeery' heads lol
We get our first keets at the beginning of this next month and I'm SO excited!! They are the pastel ones. What color are yours?? I'd love to see pic's of them.

I have a rainbow of guineas... Hehehe... I have pearls, pieds, royal purple, white, lavender and/or lilac, buff and/or buff dundotte, and slate and/or pewter. I'm not sure on the colors of the last three yet because they look similar as keets and don't really show their full color until they are about 4-6 months old. I love my guineas. They are just the funniest birds. Of course, I like unusual things (my least favorite color of guineas is pearl

). I'm not much of a follow the crowd kind of gal. Enjoy your new babies. They are a hoot.

That would be very interesting a frizzled guinea.....how exactly could you/would you come up with that? some kind of mutation or something?

Oh, and the white ones are the ones I got from the feed store that had the poor feathering. Everyone's doing well now though.
