I promise s/he wasn’t injured in our attempt to get a muppet-chicken photo...only reclined for a moment, and not upset about it at all. Thank you for the advice, we surely wouldn’t want to cause any respiratory problems!

Ah it was a more reclined position than flat on it's back? That is much better than flat on their backs. It was hard to tell the angle in the picture.
