Any of you Southerners have a good FROG jam recipe? I bought two jars of it when I was on vacation in South Carolina and love it!! I want more and would like to try to make my own, but having a hard time finding a recipe for it. I'd like one that uses the figs, raspberries, oranges and ginger with pectin and sugar instead of raspberry gelatin as I have found in a few recipes on the internet. Thanks for any help anyone can give me!

Anything with ginger gets my attention. I have never heard of it either. No raspberries this far south, so I will have to use the rasp. gelatin.
off to google frog jam!

so did you visualize them whole, or minced?

You probably visualized the same thing I did!! I was wondering how exactly one would go about doing that first of all, and were the frogs specifically bred for making jam with?? BLEH!, LOL! Good to know it's just different fruits!!

I just had to click on this to see what it was. I grew up in the South as well and had never heard of it, frog legs maybe, but not frog jam.

Now that I know what the F.R.O.G stands for, sounds pretty darn good! My grandma had a fig tree in her back yard and made fig preserves every year.
