I don't know if the egg was laid the same time as me joining, or if I saw it much later, or if I'm just dumb and it was more recently laid, but yes, I definitely remember the egg! So pretty, looks like a crystal!

No, you're not dumb! I don't remember when I posted the pictures of the egg, but I believe you.

They all lay strange eggs when they begin to lay. Does anyone remember the egg one of my newly-laying Easter Egger pullets had, that was super dark green, tiny, and had an egg inside of it?

You had an egg inside an egg?! That's really cool. Olivia laid a normal sized egg (like large grocery store normal) instead of the medium-ish ones. Pretty sure she will take a day off today. She took 3 days off last time a big one came through

Side note though...the other 5 pullets are still taking their sweet time. 21 weeks old and Olivia has been laying for about 3 weeks. Shaaaaaame.

Oh! Decent. Look at this pic.

Let the door open to the run and let them out. There is some chasing now and then but for the most part he watches them nicely it seems. Only thing he is scared of is the other rooster Hook. Neighbor's rooster and my adopted baby. Hook only chases Snape when Snape decides to try to mount one of the girls. Like catches them. Hook runs in to chase him away. So far so good it seems.

Glad to hear it's been peaceful! I'd watch out for Hoook. When a male gets chased off from mounting the females it means that he's lower in rank, and that the other one has claimed them. Has he mounted them at all?

Yep! I didn't even think it was an egg at first and I was momentarily scared to touch it.
