Here are our two front porches - both wrap 3/4ths around.
Here are the back porches which got glassed-in during a renovation in the 70s. This is where we live most because I love looking out.
Miss Prissy - Not only do I love your house - I really love your front porches. You have given me a decorating idea on having the white rockers and the ferns. It looks so cool and inviting. We have so many renovations to make but I was telling my hubby just the other day that I can of fresh white paint and painting the wall on the front porch would make a world of difference.
Speckledhen - I love your climing roses. Always been a dream of mine to have but I've never had any luck with them. I love that pink one climing your house. Hubby did come in with a cutting the other day of one that looks just like that. I asked him where he found it and he said it's growing all over fence and up trees down near the road. I had never seen it because we rarely use that entrance and it had not been in bloom till now. So we went down there and he dug up some and I cut some and have it in buckets of water to plant. I could only hope it would take off like yours. The old wild roses are the best and probably the only ones I'm going to have much luck with. I just don't have the time to pamper the other types though I keep planting them and just finished planting a bunch.
Like everyone else, I too love porches and would live outside permanently if it weren't for the bugs. I'm out there every chance I get. Just wish I had more time to actually SIT on my porch - too busy working all the time.
