I have a very small front porch, but I try to make the most of it.

The nest of house finches in the Impatiens plant by the rocker. They sure are growing fast!

There was a parent finch fussing at me as I took pictures of the babies. Found him!

HenMama, I love your porch! It looks like you found some great deals at Lowes!
Here is my house... the porch is more like a patio, but we are never out front anyway. The backyard is where the chickens and horses are!

It looks like your typical Southern California house. Someday I'll have something a little more original!

And the front planter this past spring. Everything has grown and is in bloom now!! I don't think I can fit another plant in there... But I'll try!

I got that beautiful pink Hydrangea for $6.00! It was originally $25. I'm going to plant it in the fall but I'm enjoying it on the porch now. The two baskets on the steps (the top one is getting ready to flower like the bottom one) were $4.00 each! I bought the pansies LAST spring. During the winter I put them on the back deck where they got sun all day and then this spring I cut them completely back.
